It's easy to think of direct selling as the "other" type of selling, but it's actually just one type of distribution channel . There are two types of distribution channel: the direct channel (sales directly to the customer) and the indirect channel (all other types of sales). Distribution channels are classified based on the number of channels a product must pass through before reaching the end customer.
